Joining The Club

New Forest Junior Athletic Club

Photo and Image Policy:

Please read this and be familiar before proceeding with a membership application.  If you have any queries or concerns, please speak to a member of the committee.

Due to the open nature of Athletics parents should understand and accept that their children may be photographed and /or video recorded at training and other venues. Whilst every step is taken to ensure that only Athletes whose parents/guardians have given permission for images to be used on NFJAC public social media or website, any images will be removed if requested by parents/guardians. New forest Junior Athletics club has a closed Facebook Group which is used to showcase the achievements of the athletes. This is for current members and their families only. Please do not repost images of other athletes within the club unless you have permission from their parent/guardian to do so.

Without exception, NFJ can only accept athletes from school year 4 and up.  If your child is not in year 4, please contact us once they are.

FIRSTLY...

All prospective members must complete and return the Expression of Interest Form below, prior to attending a training session.

Upon receipt of the form, athletes will be invited to a taster session with the appropriate training group.

* Please do not turn up to a training session without prior arrangement *

When and where is training...

Prior to submitting your EoI form, please familiarise yourself with the training times and locations (including site addresses and postcodes) on the Training tab of this website.

What does it cost...

Annual membership of the club costs £68 for the first year.  This includes a one-off joining fee of £20, annual membership of £30 and also includes pre-payment for the first six training sessions at £3.00 per session.  The price for subsequent renewals of annual membership is currently set at £30.

Taster training sessions cost £3.00, which is payable by cash on the night.  Thereafter, all training sessions cost £3.00 per session which can be set up as an online payment.

What to expect...

All training sessions are a mix of run, jump and throw.  Our aim is for sessions to be high tempo and fun.

What to wear...

Please send your child in sports / PE wear and good trainers, no Astros, football boots or pumps please.

Always send them with a warm
hoody and full length leggings/joggers (even if they wear shorts underneath).

Sessions can be inside or outside (often not determined until the night) so always dress for the outside conditions.  In the winter this can mean hats, gloves, waterproofs.  In the summer, caps and suncream.

What to bring...

ALWAYS send your child with a water bottle and warm hoody.

Finally...

We ask that a responsible adult remain on site during the taster session.

Upon completion of the taster session, please contact the membership secretary to discuss becoming a member.

Upon completion of their membership, all new members are sent our club Welcome Pack containing further information about club procedures and competitions.
